How to Block Gambling Websites

Block Tempting Websites
There are so many temptations out there when you are trying to recover from a gambling addiction. The last thing you need are a string of emails and pop ups offering easy access to gambling sites. If you use the browser Internet Explorer, then you can fix this problem. Follow these steps to erase temptation from your PC.
I want to do this! What's This?
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
How to Do It
The first thing you will need to do is open the browser like you always would. Go to the start menu, all programs, and Internet Explorer.
Now that you are in the browser you locate the word Tools at the top of your screen. You will want to click on this and go down to select Internet Options. The next thing you will do is click on the word Content. You will then look for the words Content Advisor. Click on Enable at this point, and go to Ratings.
Here is where you will specifically target the gambling sites that are popping up on your screen. There will be a category called Gambling or Related to Gambling. Click this so that you can change what the computer blocks related to this field. Of course you will want to make it so no gambling sites have access to your desktop.
Beware
Temptation is still there even though you have blocked it. Clearly now you know how to do it, so it will be up to you not to reverse what you have done. Be smart about it, and if the temptation is too much, you may have to stay away from it for awhile. The most important thing is your recovery.
